Keurig Machine reusable pod
Many people have the pod type Keurig machine and want to use good coffee in place of the stale prepackaged pods. There is a reusable pod you can get and grind your beans into the pod then brew it with the Keurig machine. Josh Fahey has been testing and developing the process using Mesa Vista Coffee beans and describes how to get the best coffee using your Keurig.

Lets Make a Cup

You will need these things.
1) Keurig machine - I can't promise the same experience for everyone, but I brew it on a Keurig 2.0 (Which I'm not even sure you can buy anymore) . I'd imagine some of the newer models will make a great cup, too. The biggest thing you need to make sure of is that it will allow you to use a reusable pod/filter
2) Hand grinder - I use a Java Presse Manual Burr Coffee Grinder. It's very simple. It has a ceramic conical grinding burr, that's adjustable. About $40. Flawless so far.
3) Reusable pod/filter - Keurig brand reusable filter. There's also a lot of off-brand aftermarket filters you can use. I can't speak to those.
Measure
1 shot glass or 1/2 oz (14 grams) of beans.
The reusable pod doesn't hold a lot. The lid screws down and kind of compresses the ground coffee.
Grind
I grind fairly fine, but not too fine
Reusable pod
Just pour the coffee in the pod. In this one there's a max fill line. You can go a little over that, but it should be fairly easy to screw the cap on.
Place pod in the machine
When you put it in, on this model, it recognizes its a reusable pod and gives you options depending on what you want to make. For just a regular cup of coffee, I choose 4. It has a checkbox for strong, I always check that. And you can make 8oz, 10oz or 12oz. I usually make 10oz, 8oz is just a little stronger. Then just press Brew.
Boom. Coffee.
I think it comes out great. Can't promise it will be great on every machine but the tech has gotten better. A nice fast way to brew some Mesa Vista Coffee Triple Stint blend with easy cleanup.
