LETS MAKE A CUP
You will need these things.
The grinder can be a electric blade type or the best is a burr grinder - Amazon has tons of grinders
The water kettle can be anything you can boil water in, even a container in a microwave
Grab 20 grams of Mesa Vista beans
If you don’t have a scale, use 2) 3/4 full scoops of the Aeropress scoop, Or about 2oz by volume (2 shot glasses)
Grind the beans - shoot for medium grind - about like table salt
Put the AeroPress tubes together like this and pour ground coffee in
Install filter in cap
You can use a paper filter or metal, paper works great
Some people like to wet/wash the paper filter after inserting it in the cap
Fill the Aeropress with water just off boil to between the 2 and 3 (about 60ml or grams)
Stir gently to wet all coffee grounds - Let sit 30 seconds for coffee to “bloom”
After 30 to 45 seconds “bloom” fill Aeropress almost to top
Stir very lightly for 5 seconds then………..
Top off water to top of Aeropress
Install cap and be sure its tight
Put your cup on Aeropress upside down
Flip cup and Aeropress over
Start pressing the plunger - it should take about 30 to 45 seconds to complete the plunge
Add water to get the strength you like if needed
SET UP TUNING TIPS
1) Plunge too easy = grind finer
2) Plunge too hard, takes over 60 seconds = grind more corse
3) Coffee week = grind finer and add less water to cup after plunge
4) Coffee too strong, add more water to cup
